Youth Tour Day 1-June 10, 2011

There is plenty excitement. Some are even nervous. Delegates say good bye to loved ones and reunite with their friends from Leadership Conference. Everyone is excited to hear what each others plans are for the summer and how those last days of school played out. Most importantly everyone is just excited about Youth Tour and anticipating an awesome trip. After everyone checks in and gets settled in their rooms we go to dinner and have a brief orientation. Mama Sandy tells everyone a little about the trip and what to expect as well as what is expected of them. After all the business is taken care of everyone is given the options to visit in groups in each others’ rooms, swim, watch movies or play. Early bed check because we will board the bus very early in the morning headed for Tennessee.

Here’s what today’s bloggers had to say:

Kyle is Claiborne’s delegate:
His favorite part of the day was having fried chicken for supper, and being able to see all the people going on this trip.
His least favorite part of the day was driving down here. It took 5 hours.
Today’s activities taught Kyle the details of the trip. I learned exactly what we are going to be doing on this trip and now I’m really excited.
Kyle would like to say to his loved ones back home that I’m fine and having a great time. Don’t miss me too much!

Channing is Jeff Davis’s delegate:
His favorite part of the day was the free time.
His least favorite part of the day was the driver over here.
Today’s activities taught Channing the full itinerary for the week.
Channing would like to say to his loved ones back home—Don’t worry I’ll be fine!
